COMPANY HISTORY
User-Friendly Computing was established in 1993 by Peter Huemer and Valerie Bettenhausen. Having worked for a number of other consulting companies since 1985, Peter had come to recognize a real need for professional on-site computer service in Santa Cruz County. Today, our satisfied clientele includes hundreds of local businesses, governmental entities, organizations, and private parties.
Since our founding over 25 years ago, we have been providing one of the broadest and most comprehensive local service and sales offerings throughout Santa Cruz and Monterey County, providing on-site service for business networks, personal computers, printers, and technology peripherals. We pride ourselves on the customer loyalty we have earned through years of high-quality personal service.
Our experience in all major network environments, operating systems, and computer hardware helps us guide our customers towards efficient use of their resources, both by avoiding pitfalls and by identifying new technology to improve productivity. Today’s rapid changes in hardware and software technology are useful only if the customer can understand and implement them. User-Friendly Computing strives to keep our customers informed, serviced, and satisfied with the latest in computer technology. We tailor every new system and upgrade to the personal needs of the client, not the market. At User-Friendly Computing, we place a very high emphasis on careful design of the Information Infrastructure on which our clients rely.
User-Friendly Computing is a privately-held California Corporation which holds a current B.E.A.R. license (#82820), as well as business licenses for the incorporated cities in Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties. User-Friendly Computing is properly insured and maintains workmen’s compensation and business liability policies for the protection of the company and its customers.
